When Japan meets fast food – Wok-Hei for your home

Yaki Udon is Japan's answer to quick, delicious comfort food – and this vegan version is every bit as good as the original! In just 15 minutes, you'll have perfectly fried udon noodles with crunchy vegetables and a spicy sauce that's addictive. The secret lies in the high heat: cabbage, peppers, and carrots are quickly fried until they still have a bite. The sauce made from dark soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sugar, and vinegar creates the perfect balance of sweet, salty, and sour. Crispy tofu provides protein and texture. The thick udon noodles absorb all the flavors and become slightly smoky when stir-fried – that's the famous 'wok-hei' taste. A dish that proves: Japanese cuisine can also be quick and uncomplicated. Street food for your home! 🥢
